On Monday, Arun Jatia, executive chai r ma n of Mumbai-based Pudumjee Group, clinched the sale of his 30,000 square feet family home, Jatia House.I dust ria list Ku ma r Mangalam Birla successfully made the top bid for this two-storeyed bungalow in South Mumbai's affluent district of Malabar Hill. Speaking from his office on Tuesday, Jatia said, “I am very happy that Jatia House has been sold to a good family with good peo ple. As I understand from media reports, Mr Birla doesn't plan to tear the house down. Both my wish es have come true. That my house has such good new owners and they will re serve it for personal use.“ Jatia House has been home to the M P Jatia clan for over 40 years.Jatia was about nine years old when he first moved in. The family put the house on the block as they found it too large for its few members .
