State considering sops to encourage cluster devpt :The Times of India

There was a ray of hope for lakhs of people living in slums, and non-regularized and old structures across Mumbai region and the state on Friday.
Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis hinted on Friday that the state will consider extension of a deadline for slum regularization from 2000 to accomplish the Centre's target of homes for every fam ily by 2022.

Similarly, he said, the state was considering incentives in floor space index and transfer and development rights, and other tools of construction, to encourage cluster development in Mumbai region. Mumbai and cities in the metropolitan region have tremendous scope for redevelopment of old chawls and buildings in bunches so that new townships can be evolved more systematically .

Fadnavis was replying to a call ing attention motion raised by Thane legislator Pratap Sarnaik, who pointed out the need to facilitate development of many dilapidated buildings. Jitendra Awhad demanded an urban revamp and hiked water supply for Mumbra.

While maintaining that as per orders from the judiciary, the deadline for regularization of slums cannot be extended beyond 2000, Fadnavis said there was a need to relook into the policy to achieve the Centre's objective.

  1. If you have large family and you are shifting to Mumbai, so before shifting there with family you should understand that it’s not easy to get the accommodation in Mumbai, especially when you are short with budget. But with 3 BHK flats in Dombivli you can manage accommodation in low price, all you need to search property actively because its difficult to find the affordable 3 BHK rental flat in Mumbai, so try to be so quick.
