Maharashtra State Road Development Corpora tion (MSRDC) will appoint a consultant for a feasibility study of the 800km communication Super Expressway between Mumbai and Nagpur.
Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis had announced a six-lane expressway with modern communication facilities passing through Amravati and Aurangabad.
The government plans to set up information technology (IT) parks, smart cities and high-grade educational institutions along the route.
An official of MSRDC said, “The consultant will study the NH6 and NagpurMumbai highway for this corridor.“
The investment expected for the project is Rs30,000 crore and it is expected to be complete by September 2019.After the expressway , the road travel time between Nagpur and Mumbai is expected to come down to 10 hours. It will be a toll road.
