BMC engineer, contractor held for graft : The Times of India

Mumbai:

A junior engineer of the building department and factories K ward of BMC was caught along with a civil contractor by the ACB while taking a bribe of Rs 50,000 on Thursday .

The arrested are Mahendra Tambe (37) and contractor Kumar Naik. The complainant is a doctor in Andheri (E). As the BMC had raised the height of the road, he found the flooring of his clinic was below the road's height and so started raising the floor. The K ward official then served him stop-work notice.When the doctor approached Tambe and Naik, they sought Rs 1 lakh.
